On the Beach Bed and Breakfast

do yourself a favor and stay here...this quaint b&b is right in the center of town...right on the beach...and right friendly...the breakfast is delivered to your room and is wonderful...fresh cookies in the afternoon and wine at 4pm...beds, linens and towels are great...we stayed upstairs with an ocean view and veranda...a wonderful get away...highly recommend

Confession: my wife and I live 20 minutes from On The Beach B&B in Cayucos. We think Cayucos is charming, quaint and the last unspoiled beach town on the California Coast. If we can’t afford to live there, why not do a “staycation” and spend a night or two? We chose On the Beach B&B and what a great choice it proved to be. We travel extensively and our upstairs room, overlooking the beach was one of the nicest rooms we have EVER stayed in. At about 500 square feet it’s just under half the size of our cozy, historic cottage in a nearby town. Our room was so close to the beach we actually had to close the door at night to drown out the loudness of the waves across the street. Our room had a luxurious king bed with ample seating areas, a balcony overlooking the beach, microwave, refrigerator. I’ve stayed in 5-star rooms before and this one was a 4.5, 4 at a minimum. Nothing is scrimped on from the bathrobes hanging in the closet to the high quality bath products. There is a happy hour featuring local wine and beer and breakfast was delivered to our door. Cayucos itself is only about 5 blocks long and the hotel is situated at the foot of the Cayucos Pier and walking distance to beach walks, restaurants and a close drive to Morro Bay and Cambria as well as San Luis Obispo. Who knew we would find 5-star luxury and service so close to home. We’ll stay again and recommend you do to.

If you're looking for an escape, there's no where better than the quaint beach town of Cayucos. Better yet, there's also no better place to stay than On The Beach Bed & Breakfast. They are in a prime location directly across the street from the beach, yet conveniently provide parking (and a couple EV chargers) for guests underneath the building. I was welcomed by Sylvia at the front desk with a big smile cheek to cheek. She went over their complimentary happy hour, how breakfast works, what amenities exist at the B&B, and activities in the nearby vicinity. Upon entering my double queen suite (203), I was stunned by the size of the room with its vaulted ceilings, but also the stellar view. My room had a balcony that looked directly at the Pacific Ocean and the Cayucos Pier. This stay was simply to escape reality--and did exactly just that. I ran across the street for take-out, took a bubble bath in the jacuzzi, and ended the evening watching the sunset with the fireplace lit and a drink in hand. Did I also mention munching on the freshly baked, warm cookies?! The next morning I slept in and chose to have my breakfast delivered to my door. Both days' breakfast had delicious homemade scones, a good amount of protein options and my favorite local coffee (Fog Lifter) from Morro Bay Coffee Company. Next time I return to the Morro Bay area, I will be sure to stay at On The Beach B&B.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our 2 rooms were very cozy, and the breakfasts each morning were tasty. We enjoyed the happy hour wines. It definitely was an enjoyable two-day stay for us .

Such a great bed-and-breakfast to visit. Lived here 50 years ago and came back to reconnect. “On the beach” bed-and-breakfast hits a home run. Literally located on the corner of Main Street next to the pier its warm, hospitable staff, yummy breakfast and clean comfortable rooms are just the ticket. Well located next to hiking trails, Cambria or San Simeon is the perfect place to stop.

Had a wonderful two day stay at On the Beach and was very impressed with everything. From the personalized check in to start then the daily tasty breakfast through the location, this is the place to stay. Family owned business that really provides an at home feel. Room was clean and spacious. View on the ocean side is great and location is the best. Also the cookie on the door is the best

We've stayed at "On the Beach" at least a few times prior and why do we keep coming back? Consistency of great location, amenities and service. After traffic from Bay Area it's a treat to pull into secure underground, safe parking garage and leave the car! The Inn is virtually on the beach and there are several decent cafes you can walk to. Rooms are large, clean and what a pleasure to enjoy the fireplace, jacuzzi bath and comfy king bed. Sundeck has awesome views of the waves and we spent a couple hours each afternoon just relaxing in the sun. Sweet (!) the Inn offers a comp beverage during happy hour. Let's not forget, the homemade cookies and savory breakfast that is delivered to your room! The staff at the Inn are fabulous! Friendly, helpful and accommodating. What I really love about our stays, our favorite room just feels like "home" not like a cookie cutter hotel room. We do travel down to this area fairly often so Cayucos, Cambria, San Simeon all feel so familiar and hospitable. Schooners and Duckies on each side offer some typical meals you will love! We couldn't get Netflix to work this time but cable had enough things to watch after busy days out and about. How soon can we come back?!!

We've been to Cayucos many times, but have yet to stay here. We loved the location; right on eh beach. The room was huge with a jacuzzi bathtub, although ours was broken when we got to the room. We were traveling with a friend and we'd have switched rooms had we been advised. By the time we discovered it wasn't working it was too late to make a switch. Oh well. Super location and friendly staff.

We only stayed here one night but we really liked the room. It was big, cute and with a fireplace. The staff was also very friendly! In the morning they made breakfast that we had in the room which was cozy. Would recommend for a stay in Cayucos.
